Managing your websites

Last updated 2026-04-28

The Sites page lists every website on your account. From there you can add new ones, edit each site's settings, or delete sites you no longer track.

Per-site settings

Click Settings on any site row (or visit /dashboard/site-settings.php?site_id=X). You'll find:

  • General — site name (display only), group assignment, active/paused toggle.
  • Plan & Subscription — current tier, trial info, Stripe subscription status, plan features. Click the plan badge anywhere to change tier.
  • Public Share Link — enable a read-only public report URL for clients/partners. Regenerate or disable any time.
  • Email Alerts — opt in to traffic-spike, bot-spike, and site-down alerts. Custom recipient email if you want them sent somewhere other than your account email.
  • Exclude My Visits — block your own visits two ways (IP list + per-device opt-out URL).
  • Tracking Code — the snippet to install. You can also regenerate the tracking ID here if you suspect it's been compromised (you'll need to update the code on your site).
  • Danger Zone — delete the site and all its data.

Pausing vs deleting

  • Pause (uncheck "Active") — stops new tracking but keeps all historical data. Useful if you're temporarily off a site or doing a redesign.
  • Delete — permanently removes the site, all sessions, all aggregated stats, all goals and conversions. Not recoverable. If you have an active Stripe subscription on the site, we cancel it automatically.

Groups

If you have many sites, group them on the Groups page — e.g. "Client A", "Personal blogs", "Internal tools". Groups are display-only; they don't affect billing or stats. Sites without a group fall under "Ungrouped Sites".

Renaming a site's domain

You can change the friendly site name any time. The domain itself is fixed once added — if your domain changed (e.g. you migrated from oldname.com to newname.com), add the new domain as a separate site and re-install the tracking code there.

Moving a site to another user

You can't transfer ownership directly, but our admins can. Email support with the site domain and the new owner's account email.
